I’m talking to you from the Hilltop School Skating Marathon. Here students are skating to raise money for charity. For every hour they skate,each student raises ten yuan for charity. The skating marathon has been going for five hours now,and several skaters are still skating. Alison was the first one to start,and has been skating for the whole five hours. Next is Sam,and he has been skating for four hours. Lu Ning has been skating for four hours too. And Li Chen just started an hour ago.

Good morning,ladies and gentlemen. I’m XX candidate,applying for junior middle school English teacher. My topic is Charity. Let me start off reading the passage...Now class begins.
Ⅰ. Warming-up
T:Hello,boys and girls. As we know,In May 2008,an 8.0-magnitude earthquake struck Wenchuan and killed many people. And in August this year another earthquake hit Jiuzhaigou county. “One in trouble,all will help.”So,what is done to dedicate our loving heart?Let’s watch a video first.
T:It is a charity performance to raise funds for the victims in Wenchuan Earthquake. Everybody can do charity. What can students do to raise money?Let’s start our new lesson,Charity.
Ⅱ. Pre-listening
T:The title of the text is Charity. How do you understand charity?If we give money to or help the poor or the sick,we do charity. The word “charity” is an abstract noun.
T:Then let’s move on to another word “marathon”. It seems that most of us like sports. John,what about you? Have you ever run a marathon?
T:Oh,he took near two hours in last marathon and came second. He really did an excellent job,didn’t he? Besides a long-distance race,marathon is also used to describe any long and arduous undertaking.
T:Guess what it’s time for now? Yes,our group discussion. Could you arrange yourselves to form eight groups of four? Now please discuss the following two questions:Have you ever joined in some activities to raise money? What do you think is the most effective way in raising money?
Ⅲ. While-listening
T:Let’s listen to the passage. For the first time,just listen and get a general idea. For the second time,try to answer the following questions:How much money can they raise for one hour’s skating? How long have been Sam and Lu Ning skating?
T:For the first question,raise your hand if you know the answer. Don’t talk among yourselves. Tom,what’s your answer please?
T:That makes sense. Yes,the answer to the question is ten yuan. How many of you have got it right? Let’s continue with the next question.
T:Let’s listen to it for a third time. Pay attention to the intonation and rhythm of the passage and try to read with the tape.
Ⅳ. Post-listening
T:Try to find all the structures of the present perfect progressive tense. Yes,there’re four sentences. Look at the two sentences and see what they have in common. The skating marathon has been going for five hours now. Alison has been skating for the whole five hours.
T:Let me explain the structure of this sentence. The structure is:subject+have/has+been+doing.
T:Now we know that when we talk about things that happened in the past and are still going on,we use the present perfect progressive tense. I’m going to give you a short quiz. Use the words in the box to complete the sentences.
a. We (study) now.
b. We (study) all this morning.
T:Who would like to say his sentences? Mandy,be brave and give it a try. It’s almost right. Try again,please. That’s a great answer. I really like it. The correct answer to the first question is “are studying”. The correct answer to the second question is “have been studying”. Please put up your hand if you got them right.
Ⅴ. Homework
T:Pick one of the tasks as your homework and do it earnestly.
a. Think about what we can do in our daily life to make a contribution to our charity and share with the class next time.
b. Write down five sentences with the present perfect progressive tense in your exercise book.

1. 听力教学的原则有:
(1)听力材料的选择应循序渐进。开始着手听力训练时,材料语速不能过快,尽量选择吐字清晰,连读、弱读现象少的材料。在经过一段时间的训练后,听力的语速可以稍微快一点,内容难一点,连读等现象多一点,逐步提高学生的听力水平。
(2)听说有机结合。听力理解过程不是被动的过程,而是一个积极的、创造性的思维过程。作为输入的“听”和输出的“说”,二者紧密相关,相互促进,因此在训练听力时结合说的训练,使学生看到听的效果,从而增强信心和兴趣。
(3)关注对听力材料的理解,而不仅仅是语言形式。教师应该备足听力材料,不仅仅关注听力材料中的语言点,更应该关注听力文本的内涵和听力任务的意图。教师只有在充分理解听力材料意图的基础上才能更好地设计完整的听力任务。
2. 提高英语课堂中小组合作学习的实效性,我认为应包含以下要素:
(1)确定好小组的人数,规模不能太大,3~4人为宜,这样能够使得互动更有成效。
(2)每个小组成员都必须承担一定的任务,感受自身对于集体的价值。
(3)小组成员之间互相鼓励和支持,即个体相互提供足够和有效的帮助,交流各自所需的信息和材料,互相提供反馈信息,对彼此的结论进行质疑等。
(4)小组之间进行互评,定期地评价共同活动的情况,评估成员任务完成的情况。
